Moving internationally? Here's a list of items that are banned from international shipments

Moving internationally is a big decision. It means you're leaving the comfort and familiarity of your home country to start fresh in another place. It also means you're going to have to downsize your life quite a bit—especially if you're moving by air.

Each country has its own set of rules about what can be transported into the country, and some countries are more strict than others. For example, some countries don't allow pets, medications, alcohol or even certain kinds of plants. Other countries don't allow any type of food or beverages at all. Even when you're moving by sea, there are plenty of items that won't make the cut, such as weapons and ammunition. To help you get ready for your international move, we've compiled this list of banned goods that movers can't ship overseas.
